Situated right across from the Danbury Hospital in Danbury Connecticut, the birth center provides women with the best of both worlds - expert care provided by certified nurse-midwives, while emergency care is just a stone's throw away. The Connecticut Child Birth Center is Connecticut's first free-standing birth center and the first "Baby Friendly" birthing facility in southwestern Connecticut. Because of its ideal location close to the New York border, we have been serving the Connecticut and New York women since we opened our doors in August 1997. All care is provided by certified nurse-midwives, who are experts in caring for healthy women experiencing normal pregnancies.
