Insurance Coverage
The Connecticut Childbirth & Women's Center participates with most private and Connecticut state insurances. Generally, indemnity insurance plans accept our midwifery care fees and reimburse our center at our full charges, subject to any plan co-payments and deductibles. Our staff will be happy to assist you in exploring the options available with your particular insurance plan/carrier. If your insurance is not on the list below, please check with your insurance provider, as you may still have out of network benefits that would allow you to birth at the center.

Midwifery Self-Pay Fees and Coverage
We are always happy to set up payment plans for our self-pay clients. Our global fee for families birthing in the center and receiving care with the midwives is $8,500.00. There is a small discount available in certain circumstances.
For families planning on having midwifery care with birth at Danbury Hospital, the professional fee will be $4,000. This fee does not include any charges incurred during the hospital stay; these will be billed by the hospital separately. There are no discounts on our professional fee.
Fees do not include blood or laboratory work, ultrasounds, non-stress testing
There will be a birth center facility fee of $1,000 for families who are admitted to the birth center and transferred to the hospital prior to delivery. This would make the total professional fee $5,000 and again will not include the facility fee charged by Danbury Hospital after transfer.
All financial obligations must be met by 36.0 weeks or a hospital delivery will be planned.
