At the Connecticut Childbirth & Women’s Center, our primary goal is to assist families in experiencing the wonder and joy of childbirth in a safe, comfortable and sensitive environment. Excellent health care is best fostered in an atmosphere of relationship and trust, and where women are empowered to work collaboratively with their caregivers. In addition to our birth center, we offer other ways to support you if needed.

Birthing at the Center
Give birth at our free-standing birth center, the only one of its kind in Connecticut. We offer three private birthing suites, with the option for a water birth and plenty of room for your family. In a midwife-led birth, we emphasize natural, physiological birth with ample space to labor. On average, patients are discharged within 4-6 hours after the delivery.
Birthing at the Hospital
You can choose a midwife as your primary care provider during labor and delivery in a hospital setting. All of our CNMs have privileges at Danbury Hospital. We offer the same intuitive, physiological-based approach, care and attention.
Other Services
Our midwives also offer other comprehensive services so you will be supported and empowered during your journey. Prenatal care, lactation support, breastfeeding guidance, and newborn screenings are just some of our additional areas of expertise.
